About the Artist – Sheng Li

Sheng Li is a Boston based illustrator and visual artist, and the founder of ShiroKuro, a brand known for its emotionally expressive cat characters and bold graphic storytelling. A 2022 graduate from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) with a degree in Architecture, Sheng pivoted from spatial design to illustration to explore more intimate, character-driven narratives. His work blends sharp humor with gentle melancholy, often reflecting the emotional undercurrents of modern life. Through ShiroKuro, Sheng hopes to connect with individuals who feel out of place—those who move through the world a little differently. Every illustration is a quiet dialogue, a moment of recognition between the artist and viewer. With a growing collection of artwork and products, ShiroKuro invites others into a world where emotional honesty and individuality are celebrated.

About Kuro & Shiro

As Meet Kuro and Shiro—two cats whose contrasting personalities weave together a story of balance and companionship. Kuro, the black cat, is bright, pure, and delightfully silly at heart. Shiro, the white cat, is thoughtful, wise, and calm, always bringing reason and warmth.

Through everyday adventures—guarding snacks, taking soft pauses, celebrating small progress, or simply enjoying each other’s company—Kuro and Shiro remind us of life’s gentle truths: that healing takes time, rest is always valid, and joy often lives in the simplest moments.

Together, they turn ordinary days into soft, healing stories, offering comfort, laughter, and a little glow for anyone who follows along.
